About Us

We call ourselves the Review Crew, and this blog originally started out as three siblings and their spouses wanting to offer up our varied opinions on games.

In the photo above is our original crew. From the right, this is who we are and how we play:

Jeff, aka the Businessman, has a numbers brain and calculates the return on his investments as he goes. Stategy games are his strength--once he figures them out, he's hard to beat.

Alison, Miss Congeniality, hates to step on toes, but she doesn't mind winning amid all her tiptoeing.

Leslie, the Mom, likes to help everyone and really dislikes being targeted. (You wouldn't treat your mom like that, would you?) Winning isn't as important to her as doing well, but she doesn't mind it, either.

With Jared, the Saboteur, it's not about who wins, it's about who loses. He targets the leader or the person who wins a particular game the most, and if Jared goes down while he's at it, it's all in good fun.

For Mark, the Spy, stealth is all-important. He lies low, gathering intelligence, until late in the game, and then, at last, he makes his move. Sometimes, the wait is worth it. Sometimes it's not.

Marcia is the Athlete, as competitive in board games as she is in sports. Watch out for literal and figurative elbows to fly if you sit next to her in a game.

And then there's the The Next Generation. Since the beginnig of this blog, our kids have grown up and become opinionated game players, too. We try to take their thoughts into account, but there is one, the Game Hater, who is especially hard to please.
