Do your Brain a Favor. Play a Game

The Review Crew and families are always looking for a reason to get together and play board games. Well, according to this recent newspaper article, our search for excuses is over. This article highlights many of the benefits we've noticed from playing games, such as teaching our kids to reason, plan ahead and use teamwork. But it also lists other positive outcomes that we hadn't considered, one of which is a decreased risk of dementia.  The more often you play, the more you decrease your risk.
Sounds like we need to get together even more often. Anyone for a Warding-off-Dementia night? Okay, it doesn't have quite the same ring as Game Night, but as far as excuses go, we'll take it.
